Confirmation Bias series - neon light - What Will Be Left For Them? (fetus) - grey background, pink light version

Better photos coming - I just popped this online quickly as soon as I finished it on 9 Nov.

Neon light (argon and a drop of mercury in phosphor coated hand blown and bent glass tube) question mark on high shine acrylic (perspex), archival print (of an image I painted - though this is not the original painting as that is about 15cm across so I don’t use the actual paintings in these pieces), aluminium, UK transformer, in aluminium frame, brass stands, painted porcelain stand heads, HT cable, rubber grommets.

I also painted swirls on the glass (to separate the top of the question mark from the bottom ‘dot’) rather than the usual black block out paint.

65.2cm x 51.2 cm x 13cm deep approx

This is the only one like this using this image with the pink light. There is one with a more muted pinkish light (which is blue glass pumped red with neon, and this gives a pink colour but not as bright as the one in this listing).

Other neon pieces will be coming in this series, including ones using the same image but different colour backgrounds/frames or different colour neon tubes. Every one will be unique as no two will have the same combination. Eg there may be several that use the grey background/frame combo but they each have a different colour neon light question mark. There will be several that use a black background/silver frame, and each will use a different colour neon light question mark.

As the glass light question marks were handmade (by me, though they were electroded and filled with gas for me), no two are the same anyway.
