Rebecca Mason Art is a name used by ACCEBER ART LIMITED. All transactions are with Acceber Art Limited.

DISPLAY AND IMAGES:

Screen settings and cameras can result in a variation in colour etc appearance compared with “real life” so there may be some variation in the colour/appearance of the item you purchase compared with how they look on your screen. Refunds and exchanges will not be given for this. Please be aware that some variation, resulting from screen displays and camera lens representations may occur.

For neons and other handmade items, there is naturally some variation in the end product due to the handmade nature of the product.

NEON AVAILABILITY:

Please note that although a neon may be showing as “in stock” this means that there is room left in the edition for that one but it may not yet be fabricated - sometimes there is a wait of 3-4 weeks for me to fit this in. Always contact me first if an order is urgent. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the wait may be longer as I can’t get my glass tubes filled with gas as quickly.

POSTAGE AND PACKING METHOD AND TIMING:

Most items are sent via a tracked/signed for service. In most cases I use Royal Mail and Parcelforce48 as I have found them to be very reliable. This does not apply to neons as they need a dedicated courier (see section below) and will also take longer if they are made to order.

All items, apart from neon or anything under £10, will be sent by recorded post (Royal Mail or Parcelforce48) and a signature will be required. Items (other than neons) will usually be posted out within 5 days (often faster but let me know if something is urgent or if you need it by a specific date before ordering). I post orders (except neons) on Mondays only - cut off for orders to be included is 12 noon the prior Saturday.

DEC 2022: I am posting items 2-3 x per week. Last date for U.K. orders is fri 16 Dec 2022.

The item will then be subject to the postal service's usual shipping times. I am not responsible for shipping company delays once I have shipped the item.

P&P CHARGES:

The amount is calculated at checkout and is based on weight and dimensions - if it comes out excessively high and over cost I usually refund the difference (at my discretion). Contact me if your delivery pricing seems excessively high (please remember it is not just postage, but also packing boxes, materials, my time etc, plus website fees are taken too on postage and packing). In many cases, what actually happens is that I subsidise the P&P as in reality it comes out higher than the amount charged. However, sometimes it is too high for me to do that and I reserve the right to cancel the order and send a full refund to the buyer via the original payment method - this will be actioned within 72 hours of the order having been received (please note, this means the refund will be actioned by me within 72 hours, but it may take your card issuer or paypal longer to actually deposit the refund back into your account). It is very rare I have to cancel an order.

NEON SHIPPING AND DELIVERY ETC:

The original neons require specialist shipping - usually this means a bespoke delivery driver with insurance (the driver takes the neon only, no other packages) and so is typically in the region of £100 (if you are in London). For example, Cheshire is usually £275. Manchester is usually £350. Please contact me for a quote. Shipping charges are non refundable.

DELIVERY DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY KIND OF HANGING/ INSTALLATION. Installation is pretty simple (just a few holes in the wall in order to hang the piece and then plug the piece into a usual 3 point plug socket) though the pieces are obviously fragile and so must be handled carefully to avoid smashing the glass on the front.

Some buyers use a handyman/woman service to hang the piece, others prefer to use an electrician given the piece has electrical components (though just plugs in). Some choose to use a company with plenty of experience of handling neon (such as Gods Own Junk Yard, who have hung my pieces for client's before and can be contacted for a quote). I used to hang the pieces myself years back but rarely do that now due to time etc and because I am not in London much. They each weigh between 8kg and 14kg in general.

The pieces do not have on-off switches - turning them on or off is done by switching the plug on or off at the plug socket, though a number of buyers have chosen to have a qualified electrician put a switch in their wall (and plug the piece in to a socket they have behind this piece - this works as the frame is hollow).

CANCELLATIONS

I reserve the right to cancel an order for any reason before it is shipped out. This could include, but is not limited to, items being sold out, system errors, inability to ship product to specific jurisdiction, and inaccurate P&P charges (rest of world can sometimes be quite wrong based on weight etc and I can’t fulfill an order if the actual P&P charge is too high compared with that paid and the profit on the item - this is more of an issue for small items than large ones).

Buyers are also able to cancel their order provided the order has not already been shipped.

CUSTOMS CHARGES

Buyers are responsible for payment of any and all customs charges. All items are shipped from the UK. Customs charges are not included in the P&P charges levied by this website.

RETURNS

ITEMS WHICH ARE MADE TO ORDER (E.G. IF I HAVE TO MAKE A NEON AFTER IT IS ORDERED) ARE NOT REFUNDABLE NOR ARE THE DELIVERY COSTS UNLESS THEY ARRIVE BROKEN WHEN DELIVERED TO THE BUYER.

DISCOUNTED STUDIO SECONDS/TEST PRINTS/SAMPLES ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Other than neon pieces which are made to order, jewellery and face masks, buyers have 7 days after receipt (post signed for date) to request a return.. Items must then be sent back within a further 7 days (proof of postage will be required).

Outside of these timelines, returns will not be accepted. Refunds will also not be made for returned items lost in the post if the buyer is unable to provide evidence of the returned postage and tracking number. For neon pieces not made to order, buyers will need to cover the costs of the return via a dedicated courier and the costs of any damage that may have occurred after the piece is delivered to them by my courier and until it reaches me. The initial outgoing postage charges will also not be refunded. I take a photo of every neon switched on before it leaves me to prove it lights up fine. When my dedicated courier drops off a neon, he also requires the recipient to plug it in quickly to show it has arrived in one piece. Any damage which occurs after that point is the responsibility of the buyer, even if they decide to return it within the 14 days. If you need to check if your neon is being made to order, please do before placing an order. In general, I suggest buyers view a neon piece before ordering it wherever possible.

In the event any free items were included in the pack (e.g. free cards etc etc given by way of thanks), the buyer must also return these when returning their order. Please do not keep items given as freebies to say thanks if you are returning your order.

REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN WHERE THE BUYER WISHES TO RETURN A PRINT BECAUSE IT DOES NOT LIGHT UP. As noted on the individual print entry pages, prints are on paper and do not light up. They do not contain neon glass as they are paper.

Outgoing and return postage and packing charges will NOT be refunded unless the item is damaged - I take photos of each item before wrapping and quality check each so you should not received a damaged item. If however you believe you have, please send photos and I can compare.

ALL RETURNS MUST BE MADE VIA RECORDED SIGNED FOR POSTAGE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. Return recorded/signed for postage must be paid for by the buyer and the tracking number provided to Rebecca Mason Art. Rebecca Mason Art will not refund return postage fees other than in the event of damage not caused by the buyer - see section below on damaged items.

Upon receipt of a return,  Rebecca Mason Art will inspect the item to ensure it is returned in perfect condition. PLEASE ensure you handle prints very carefully - any damage to a print will result in the return request being denied. All prints are checked by Rebecca Mason prior to being dispatched to any buyer and photographic evidence is taken to show the condition of the print prior to being posted so that upon receipt of a return, the print can be checked to ensure no damage has occurred.

DAMAGED ITEMS

Rebecca Mason quality checks every print prior to posting. Photographic evidence is taken of each print to record the quality. In the event of a claim of damage, Rebecca will require the buyer to send photographic evidence of the damage so this can be compared with the photograph taken by Rebecca prior to postage. Refunds for damaged items will be made only where the damage is evident in the photographic evidence made prior to dispatch from Rebecca Mason Art. Damages created by the buyer i.e. which were not evident in the original photo will not be refunded unless clearly caused via postal damage.

My neon pieces have a one year warranty against mechanical failure (i.e. transformer ceasing to work, significant light colour loss). That does not cover any damage made to the piece within that year (such as but not limited to breakage or a problem resulting from incorrect installation), nor any issue after 12 months post purchase.
