Confirmation bias series - neon light - Let’s Fly Away From The Madness (grey background, blue glass filled red pink question mark light)
This variant has a grey background colour, silver frame and will have a blue glass filled red (I.e. pink) light. Sorry about the photos, I only finished this late on 6 Nov and have not yet had time to photograph it on the wall.
Neon light question mark on high shine acrylic (perspex), archival print (of an image I painted - though this is not the original painting as that is about 15cm across so I don’t use the actual paintings in these pieces), aluminium, UK transformer, in aluminium frame, brass stands, painted porcelain stand heads, HT cable, rubber grommets.
I also painted swirls on the glass (to separate the top of the question mark from the bottom ‘dot’) rather than the usual black block out paint.
51.2 x 55.6 cm x13cm deep
Other neon pieces will be coming in this series, including ones using the same image but different colour backgrounds/frames or different colour neon tubes. Every one will be unique as no two will have the same combination. Eg there may be several that use the black background/frame combo but they each have a different colour neon light question mark. There will be several that use a grey background/silver frame, and each will use a different colour neon light question mark.
As the glass light question marks were handmade (by me, though they were electroded and filled with gas for me), no two are the same anyway.
Plugs into a standard UK plug socket.
